Today is Friday

Today we didn't have much to do for school, but since we didn't get to it yesterday we did do our science experiment. Or tried to anyways. I forgot it specifically suggested to use Crayola crayons for the experiment....turns out you probably need Crayola for it to work. *Sigh* It is pretty cool how people come up with experiments that you use with totally simple household items to represent (accurately, even) how bigger things work. We learned about the rock cycle this week, and the experiment was showing how sedimentary, metamorphic, and igneous rocks can form. Using crayons! Pretty neat. I enjoy learning alongside my kids.
In addition to science the kids did their piano rotation while I was gone running errands, we did our devotional, ASL review (check out the ASL shop beginner course!) , and read some poetry. Easy peasy day for school! They also played as much as possible with our new kittens and we spent the evening at my mom and dad's.
